This is Jim Bellisimo’s 70 Coronet 500 convertible with RT badges in Go Mango. It is a rare 383 4 speed car that has been converted to a 440 with an automatic.
It has a factory power top and windows. The 440 with 9.5 comp is equipped with Edelbrock 84 cc heads and an Edelbrock Performer RPM intake , both supplied by Magnum HP Inc. A Holley 750 with vacuum secondaries and electric choke take care of feeding the beast. A set of vintage 1974 Doug Thorley vintage 1974 headers found in the swap area of www.Moparts.com send the exhaust out through a pair of Magnaflow mufflers. An MP electronic ignition kit fires off the mixture. Keeping the Coronet cool is an aluminum water pump with a clutch fan. Jim also added a US Car Tool bolt in driveshaft loop that he bought from us. Out back, a Dana 60 with 354 gears send the power to Torque Thrust DS American Racing wheels which are wrapped with BF Goodrich Radial T/A’s with 275/60/15 in the rear and 235/60/15 up front. Stopping the car is handled by a Wildwood front disc kit and one of Magnum HP’s lightweight aluminum master cylinders. Jim says “The car was built as a daily driver and gets around 10/11 mpg. It goes fast as I want and I will take it to track soon for my one pass est. 12.9 13.5 or so…”

Ray Meyer's R/T Challenger has a set of the contour fit weld on subframe connectors. The big block is a 493 with Edelbrock heads, a .590" Mopar cam and a Weiand cross ram six pack setup. The Turbo Action foward manual valve body allowed Ray to keep the slapstick and interior all stock looking. Out back is Dana 60 with 4.10 gears and 30" tall BFG Drag Radial street tires. The car gone a best of 7.30@96mph in the 1/8th mile, spinning the tires and pulling the front tires off the ground. Ray is still sorting this street combo out.

Mike Ciaravino's 1970 convertible Challenger has been featured in the January 2006 issue of Mopar Muscle Magazine . There is no part on this car that was not restored or modified. Originally a 318 car, it now sports an Edelbrock headed 440, a Dynamic trans and converter, TTI headers and exhaust. The interior is all custom leather with Recarro front seats and an aluminum guage panel. All of the mechanical work on the car was performed by Magnum HP Inc. Mike's car did quite well at shows in the 2003 season. His car came in 1st at the Mopar Atlantic Nationals, 2nd at the All Chrysler Nationals at Carlisle, and 3rd at the Mopar Nationals.

This is Jan Willem Van Waning from the Netherlands. In early 2005, he came to the USA to pick up the '68 Coronet pictured. There are BIG plans for this car and the owner. On the 15th of July 2006 the Amsterdam Beijing Classic Car Endurance Rally will start. This is a 12,000 mile rally adventure from the Netherlands to China, which travels trough 14 different countries. All of this is going to happen in just one month's time featuring 100 cars from 1977 and earlier.
Jan is driving this rally together with his father in his 1968 Dodge Coronet 500.
The cars in the rally are mostly small European cars with the exception of a bunch of Mustangs and a Toronado. He's NOT driving one of those! For Jan, it's Mopar or no car! At first Jan thought of driving the rally with his 70 Charger R/T but his friends convinced him this was not a good idea. So this spring he flew to Atlanta with one of his friends to find a decent Mopar to drive the rally with. He found the Coronet in the Fort Rucker Military Base in Alabama. Jan says "I saw it on Ebay and put a down payment on it. I had no idea what state it was in except for what the seller told me. The seller of the car is an Apache pilot and he will be stationed in Korea soon. He couldn’t take it with him so he sold his well taken care of Coronet to me.
The plan was to drive South via the west coast of Florida all the way to Key West and then back to Miami to ship the car. If the car would break down we had about 8 days to get it to Miami in a different way.
This is the first time I covered so much distance in a Mopar without it breaking down. This Mopar didn’t even leak!! We enjoyed the cheap gas you guys think is expensive. In my country you pay around 8 dollars a Gallon.
On our way to the Keys we stopped in Naples at Greg Zeneski’s Magnum HP where I had a lot of parts waiting to join the Coronet on it’s trip to Europe. We had a killer time with him and visited a Saturday Night Cruise, went on an airboat ride, drove his awesome Scamp and even went for a spin in a ‘68 Hemi Charger.
The Coronet is in the Netherlands now and i’m currently preparing it for the rally next year. The A-727 will be replaced by a A-833 4-speed. Fuel lines, brake lines andcables will all be moved inside the car to prevent them from damage. All the wiring will be custom made and simplified. This is going to be one tough, hard to break down Mopar.
When everything goes the way its planned it will take us a month to reach Beijing. Six days are planned for rest and repairing the car. That leaves us 24 days of driving which means an average of around 450 miles a day. This are not going to be highway miles but backroad miles. There will be days where 600 miles takes you 8 hours but there will also be days where 400 miles takes you 15 hours.
Every day there will be one special stage with a regularity section where you need to keep an average speed. You know when the stage starts but the finish is a hidden checkpoint. One second late is a penalty and so is a second too soon. Not knowing what you will run into it’s going to be a hard task to win.
The rally will be internationally broadcasted and can also be followed on the official website www.abr2006.com or my website that will be online soon www.eastboundcoronet.nl "

This is Greg Pease's 1975 Duster. It's being built with help from Greg's uncle Brad Tackett. The 470 cid engine is filled with parts from Eagle, Wiseco and Harland Sharpe. THe Indy heads and intake were ported be Mike Stark at Creative Flow Managment in Indianapolis. It's got a Pro Max 1050 Dominator and A&A "King of the Street" transmission. The tubular suspension with rack and pinion steering as well as the 2 1/8" headers was done at BC race cars in Carmel Indiana. There's a Dana 60 out back with Cal Trac bars. Westend Speed Supply built the custom aluminum radiator. The interior is by S&K Precision upholstery.

This is the engine in Greg Pease's '75 Duster. He's equiped the engine bay with one of our billet master cylinder adapters, a billet timing chain cover, and a billet low mount alternator bracket and a billet crank pulley.

This '67 Belvedere belongs to Greg Billing of Grand Rapids Michigan. It's been a 10 second race car for the last 30 years, but Greg decided he'd convert back to street use so he could beat up on the local bow tie and blue oval drivers. To make it road worthy he installed a factory wiring harness, lights, carpet, Goodyear radials up front, a 16 gallon fuel cell, Flowmaster mufflers and a TTI exhaust, a Michigan license plate and one of Magnum HP's low mount alternator kits with a 100 amp alternator.

Here are a few shots of David Baures' '68 Road Runner . It has a 383 with a mild hydraulic cam, TTI headers and exhaust, Holley Street Dominator Intake and Holley carb. It is a factory 4 speed car with 3.55:1 rear gears. It had factory 11" X 3" HD front drum brakes, however, David has upgraded to the 11.75" atock Mopar rotors and a complete conversion kit to use the Wilwood calipers. David says "The kit works great! This car is a proven package as it is built. It has been driven from Arlington, TX to Wisconsin and it made the trip to Mopars at the Strip this past spring. Thanks for your help Greg and I will see you at the Mopar Nats in August.

Matt Petco's car was a very well known detroit street race car in the late 70's early 80's. The 64 Plymouth was called the Rat Patrol because the former owners loved to race and beat up on the Chevy guys. The car caught fire in the mid 80's, was disassembled and sat in a building until Matt purchased it last summer. It has since received a rotisserie sprayed black paint job. Wheel tubs, 16 point molly cage, Dana 60 rear end with strange components, Afco shocks, Strange disc brakes, and a Best Machine built 500 CI Indy head motor that made 700 horse and 690 Ft Pounds of torque. Matt is looking forward to completing the car, and doing some Nostalgia super stock racing and street cruising.

Here's a shot of Matt Petco's engine with the low mount alternator kit installed.

" Hey Greg,
I saw you at Carlisle and we talked briefly about the Magnum HP low mount kit that I had purchased from you. Anyway, I mentioned how nicely it turned out and you asked me to send some pictures. I'll try to get a picture of the installed set up but this is how it turned out on the engine stand just before I set the engine in. I didn't have to change a thing to get it installed - it dropped right in. I do have a unique set up with no fuel pump (its fuel injected) and no water pump (Mezierre in line pump) but I am using conventional motor mounts and the stock front cover.

This Charger belongs to Ernie Aquilio. He has been helping us at some of the shows, and we have been helping him with his car. It's great to see the young guys interested in the older cars. Here's a few words from Erine...
" My 1971 Dodge Charger was a 318 car but now supports a built 1969 dated 383 engine, with a TCI 727 manual valve body 3 speed. It has a Chrysler 9.25 sure grip rear end with 3:55 gears. I am 21 and have had the car for a little over four years now. My parents helped me buy it for high school graduation and it has been our project ever since. I have been only able to run it in the 1/8th mile. The best so far is a 9.3 @ 77mph, which is roughly good for a 13.9 in the 1/4 mile. "
|

This is "Duster Dave" Gagliardo's awesome pro street Duster. The 8-71 BDS blower sits on top of a 528 Hemi. Dave built the engine around an Eagle stroker crank, with MP block and aluminum heads. Dave sourced the crank, carbs, oiling system as well as some valvetrain parts from Magnum HP. Dave
says:"I demand great customer service, fast delivery, and low prices. MagnumHP delivers on all counts."

This '64 Savoy owned by Terry Crow complete with a "604" Hemi is street driven regularly. Although not having seen any track time yet, Terry assures us this combo will run 8 sec ET's once sorted out. Terry relies on our low mount alternator bracket as well as an Accusump for pre oiling and safety. Terry says Magnum HP Inc. is the place for great parts and service.

This 1970 Plymouth Duster belongs to Jim Dickerson Jr. of Southold, NY. At the age of 23 he has already restored a few classic Mopars. With the benefit of working in the parts department of a local Chrysler Dodge Jeep dealership he has created this beautiful Viper Silver Duster. He tossed the slant 6 fand dropped in a Magnum 360 300hp crate engine , added a 727 and 3.23 SG 8 3/4" rear to back it all up. The Duster now has been updated to the large bolt pattern, with 4 wheel disc brakes and a set of Hopster wheels. Jim consulted with Magnum HP several times during construction as well as buying some parts from us too.
|

This is Jimmy Dickerson Jr.'s other project. He finished this J-10 Jeep a few years before starting on his Duster. It's a 1975 Jeep J-10 with an AMC 360 equiped with an Edelbrock power package,T-18 4spd. and it is a 4x4. It recieved a total ground up restoration as it formerly was a rusted out snow plow truck. The paint is custom viper GTS blue pearl and white .
